The journey (according to Hyperlapse)

April 22, 2013

Traveling between our two studios in Brooklyn can get slow sometimes on the BQE. But not with Hyperlapse. Follow our journey here http://bit.ly/ZBFsuV

We found this really simple browser-based tool using Google Street View imagery— created by Teehan+Lax, in Toronto— via the Creators project.

Choose the start and end points of your hyperlapse on Google Maps, then select a point of interest for the camera to focus on to add a sleek sweeping effect—wait a few seconds and bingo, you’ve created a beautiful moving montage made up entirely of Street View pictures. Do it here http://hyperlapse.tllabs.io/

For the unfamiliar, the creators project is a collaboration between Intel (who are still inside) and Vice (still naughty after all these years). They describe the initiative as a global celebration of art and technology — which, translated into human means cool digital art, on and off line. They put on events, host an online arts channel and….visit them at thecreatorsproject.vice.com
